LIDAR

Light Detection and Ranging is a method to image the earth using ultraviolet, visible, and infrared light. The measurements made using LIDAR can be used to generate a variety of data products, including information on the structure of the earth’s surface in the form of digital terrain models and digital surface model.

LIDAR Datasets available
GINA provides several LIDAR datasets for download or using via a Web Coverage Service. For more information please see the Statewide Digital Mapping Initiative’s Elevation Data Gallery. GINA’s LIDAR datasets can be downloaded via the SDMI’s browse site. Zoom into the area of interest on the map. Or download LIDAR data in the right hand column.
