USGS Earth Resources Observation and Science Center
The USGS Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS ) Center is a remotely sensed data management, systems development, and research field center for the U.S. Geological Survey’s (USGS) Geography Discipline.
GINA has been working in partnership with EROS on several projects:
More than 20,000 Landsat 5 scenes have been captured at the NOAA-NESDIS Fairbanks Command and Data Acquisition Station and USGS-EROS through a program established in 2005.
A GINA student programmer wrote a high performance, secure bulk data transfer software package used by EROS.
GINA programmers, working with colleagues in AmericaView, helped to port the EROS-developed GloVis to an independently installable package.
