S-NPP CrIS Sensor

CrIS data distribution ceased September 2024 due to lack of LWIR channels.

NOAA-21, NOAA-20, and S-NPP

NOAA-21 is operating as the primary satellite in the Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS), NOAA-20 is operating as the secondary satellite, and S-NPP is operating as the tertiary satellite.

Historical Direct-Broadcast Satellite Reception

Satellites don’t last forever, but they can frequently be used far past their initial lifespan. This table lists the satellites once used by GINA to provide direct-broadcast data and products, but that had to be removed from service.
