The major cyclone that is visible offshore of Vancouver Island reached a central pressure of 942 mb which is the lowest pressure on record for that region, however there have been a number of storms with lower central pressures farther north. For example on 31 Dec 2020 a pressure of 924.8 mb was measured at Shemya, Alaska from a cyclone with an estimated central pressure of 921 mb.”
